{"id":1672,"date":"2026-10-21T09:59:43","date_gmt":"2026-10-21T09:59:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/swebwindow.eu\/?p=1672"},"modified":"2026-10-21T10:08:08","modified_gmt":"2026-10-21T10:08:08","slug":"new-publication-on-photochromic-thin-films-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/swebwindow.eu\/index.php\/2026\/10\/21\/new-publication-on-photochromic-thin-films-2\/","title":{"rendered":"New Publication on Photochromic Thin Films"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">A new scientific article from the Thin Films Laboratory at the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia has been published in <strong><em>Surface &amp; Coatings Technology<\/em> (Elsevier)<\/strong>, in a special issue of the International Conference on Thin Films (ICTF 2026).<\/p>\n<p>The research was conducted in collaboration with the <strong>University of Tartu<\/strong> (Prof. Hugo M\u00e4ndar) and the <strong>Helsinki Accelerator Laboratory<\/strong> (Prof. Kostas Sarakinos and Dr. Dmitry Moldarev).<\/p>\n<p>The researchers demonstrated substrate-controlled, epitaxial-like growth of photochromic yttrium oxyhydride thin films and identified material composition as the primary factor determining their photochromic response.
