New publication “Scaling up photochromic thin films with antimicrobial functionality: Roll-to-Roll deposition of YHO and YHO/Cu coatings”

The Thin Films Laboratory’s latest article, “Scaling up photochromic thin films with antimicrobial functionality: Roll-to-Roll deposition of YHO and YHO/Cu coatings”, has been published in the journal Vacuum (Elsevier):

In this work we explore roll-to-roll (R2R) reactive magnetron sputtering of photochromic oxygen-containing yttrium hydride (YHO) and YHO/Cu bilayer thin films on flexible substrates – a key step toward scalable production of smart functional films.

A big respect to the co-authors and collaborators on this research – looking forward to exploring new opportunities together.
