Our latest paper, “Growth-controlled photochromism in yttrium oxyhydride thin films deposited by HiPIMS and pulsed-DC magnetron sputtering” has been published in Vacuum (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0042207X26001521?via%3Dihub).
The study shows that the photochromic performance of YHO thin films is strongly governed not only by composition, but also by growth conditions and microstructure. The work was carried out in cooperation with the Helsinki Accelerator Laboratory (University of Helsinki). (https://www.linkedin.com/company/helsinki-accelerator-laboratory/posts/?feedView=all).
Optimising scalable deposition processes is essential for developing energy-efficient smart window coatings for large-area applications.
