SWEB project researcher Martins Zubkins from the Thin Films Laboratory participated in the SVC TechCon 2026 conference in Long Beach, USA — one of the leading international conferences in vacuum coating and thin film technologies.
During the conference, M. Zubkins delivered both an invited talk and a contributed presentation focused on photochromic thin films and the development of scalable deposition technologies, covering research from laboratory-scale synthesis to large-area coating approaches.
The presentations highlighted ongoing work related to photochromic yttrium oxyhydride (YHO) coatings deposited by magnetron sputtering and their potential applications in smart window technologies.
Participation in the conference was supported by the PostDoc project No. 1.1.1.9/LZP/1/24/011 and carried out within the framework of the SWEB project.
