The research group expose a high rate of winning national level competitive research funding. The current ERA Chair project team members have been awarded several national level competitive research funding grants from Latvian Research Council.  The ERA Chair holder with the team, building on the existing infrastructure, resources and IP will be able to achieve the level, where continuing research, design and innovation insures continuous financing for the team.

The project implementation will raise the research profile of the ISSP staff and increase the ISSP excellence, reputation, attractiveness, innovation capacity, cooperation with industrial partners. Young students selected based on gender equality will be involved in the project implementation and will have the opportunity to develop their career in a multidisciplinary environment and to acquire advanced knowledge on the topics.
